ELVIS PRESLEY IS ALIVE!

I got a facebook message two weeks ago from a woman I didn’t know. She insisted in a few words that Elvis Presley is still very much alive because 42 years ago in 1977 with the help of friends he faked his death to get out of the limelight to lead a private life. Back then we had black and white TV and I cried when I saw him lying in a casket! My family and I watched the long, funeral procession of cars and motorcycles behind the hearse that day. They said on the news Elvis died of an over-dose of prescription drugs.

The mystery woman shared her blue link to a video and said when you hear him sing you’ll know it’s him. She said Elvis has thick, beautiful thick white hair and a neat, manicured beard. When I clicked on the link the second I heard Elvis singing Dixie Land I knew it was him! Many men can impersonate Elvis but nobody can come close to his velvety baritone, singing voice. When I was a teenager I listened to him for hours and his voice is ingrained in my mind like the grooves on the old 45 & 78 RPM records.
